Situated on 500 acres of prime Kentucky Bluegrass 20 minutes from Lexington, Brookdale Farm thrives as one of the traditional thoroughbred breeding farms in Central Kentucky. Since 1978, the Seitz family and Brookdale Farm have made it their primary mission to provide the highest level of equine care. Serving clientele from all over the world, Brookdale takes pride in raising durable, competitive horses that perform at the highest level, including several champions and scores of graded stakes winners. Brookdale Sales is consistently among the leading consignors at major auctions throughout the year and has sold over 300 stakes horses over the past 30 years.

Here at Brookdale, we value professional horsemanship as the most important element in raising quality thoroughbreds. The dedicated members of our staff, who all started at entry-level positions, work hard to provide personal, hands-on care of our clients’ investments.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve services through strong communication and the use of modern technology. The mission of Fred, Joe, Freddy and the entire staff is to become a self sufficient, full service breeding operation. We want to provide a broad spectrum of resources from bloodstock advising to breeding, sales, or racing management in the U.S. as well as Canada and Europe.
