WAR STORY Hits Millionaire Status with Brooklyn Invitational (G2) Win (VIDEO)

Brookdale Grad WAR STORY (5,g, Northern Afleet/Belle Watling) pulled away in the stretch to win by 2 1/2 lengths on Saturday in the G2 Brooklyn Invitational at Belmont Park.  With the win he bypassed the million dollar mark for earnings, and has now earned $1,154,305 in 21 lifetime starts. War Story was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and was born and raised at Brookdale Farm.  He is a graduate of the 2013 Keeneland Septemebr Sale.


Paid Up Subscriber 2nd in the Ogden Phipps Stakes (G1)

Brookdale Grad PAID UP SUBSCRIBER (5,m, Candy Ride (ARG)/Shriek) battled down the stretch with Champion SONGBIRD and just narrowly missed on Saturday in the G1 Ogden Phipps Stakes to place 2nd. In 14 starts she has earned $742,850 and has now hit the board in 5 of her last 7 races all of which were graded stakes. She was purchased by White Birch Farm at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Novmeber Sale for $1,100,000.




Brookdale Grad MIGGSY Breaks Maiden at Aqueduct

Brookdale Grad Miggsy (3,c, Hard Spun/Yes She’s A Lady) won by a nose on Sunday at Aqueduct to break is his maiden.  Placed in both of his previous starts at 2, Miggsy has now earned $60,000 for owner Robert LaPenta.  He was bred in Kentucky by Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Tait and was purchased for $330,000 in the Keeneland 2015 September Sale.
