Ready for Rye (2,g, City Zip/Embroidery) broke his maiden impressively on Saturday at Belmont Park winning by 7 lengths in just his second start. In his first start, he was second to Carpe Diem who last week won the Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1). Ready for Rye was bred in Kentucky by Soc. Agr. Santa Elena De Chimbarongo LTDA and was raised at Brookdale Farm. He was purchased by Chalk Racing at the 2013 Keeneland September Sale for $70,000.
