Sage Cat, the dam of stallion Desert Party, along with her Bodemeister filly will be selling with Brookdale at the Keeneland November Sale. Her yearling filly by Tapit had the sale topping price at the Fasig-Tipton October Sale of $410,000 and was purchased by Conquest Stables.
Brookdale Grad Branded Hand (3,c, Hard Spun/Cape Cod Lady) won a starter allowance yesterday at Keeneland. He now has 3 wins in 13 lifetime starts and earnings of $97,190. Branded Hand was bred in Kentucky by Somewhere Stables KY, LLC and is a graduate of the 2012 Keeneland September Sale.
Only one filly has ever won the Kentucky Oaks, CCA Oaks, Alabama and Beldame Stakes. Princess of Sylmar did last year, defeating champions Beholder, Royal Delta and many others.
