Major Sire Silver Deputy was euthanized on October 4th due to the infirmities of old age. The 29-year-old son of Deputy Minister-Silver Valley, by Mr. Prospector had been pensioned since 2008 at Brookdale Farm. From the first foal crop by two-time Leading Sire Deputy Minister, Silver Deputy was purchased for $200,000 by Windfields Farm at the Fasig-Tipton July Selected Yearling Sale.
