California Memory (6,g, Highest Honor/ Kalpita) became the first horse to win the Longines Hong Kong Cup (G1) in back to back years on Sunday. After winning the Longines Jockey Club Cup (G2) last month, California Memory was able to get past his rivals in the stretch for a one length victory. Draw Two (2,c, Macho Uno/Belle Watling) broke his maiden impressively on Wednesday at Belmont Park. After two previous on the board finishes, the colt drew away in the stretch to win by 7 3/4 lengths. The 2-year-old colt was bred in Kentucky by Jack Swain and is a 2011 Keeneland Septemeber graduate.
