War Story wins an Allowance by 2 3/4 lengths on Sunday at Fair Grounds in Race 8. He was bumped at the start but was well placed down the backstretch. Brookdale Sales, agent for Aislabie Bloodstock consigned Strawberrydaiquiri the eight year old mare by Dansili in foal to Dubawi. She was purchased for $1.45 million on November 5th at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale. Her ticket was signed by Benoit Jeffroy of Mandore International Agency.
Storm Dixie dam of 4x G1 winner Princess of Sylmar brings $1.9 million at the Fasig-Tipton November sale. She is in foal to Tapit and purchased by Olin Gentry, agent.
Canadian grade I winner Sarah Lynx brought over $2 million in the Fasig-Tipton November sale. She was offered in foal to Street Cry and purchased by the Don Alberto Corporation. She won the 2011 Canadian International against the boys and is a seven year old daughter of Montjeu.
Trainer Amy Tarrant, who operates her own Ocala-based breeding and racing operation as Hardacre Farm, enjoyed one of her biggest successes on the track to date with homebred Pomeroys Pistol (Pomeroy), and will look for the star of her broodmare band to provide another big score in the Keeneland September sales ring next week. Brookdale grads Protonico and Mr. O'Leary celebrated big wins over the Labor Day weekend. Protonico won the Grade 3 Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx Racing by 1 1/2 lengths on Labor Day. The previous day, fellow Brookdale grad Mr. O' Leary won the ninth race at Saratoga by a head.
